This weekend, Owensboro will host the 2026 Kentucky 2A Basketball State Championships, bringing together the top Class 2A high school teams from across the state. The three-day tournament runs January 16–18 at the Owensboro Sportscenter, a venue known for its lively atmosphere and passionate fans.

Teams will compete for the coveted 2A state title in both boys’ and girls’ divisions, with early rounds kicking off Friday, semi-finals on Saturday, and the championship games scheduled for Sunday. Fans can catch the girls’ title game at 12:00 PM and the boys’ championship at 2:00 PM.

Admission: General tickets are $14, with children 5 and under admitted free. Re-entry is not permitted during the event.
