Ohio County Pulls Away From OHS

Ohio County Eagles used a strong second half and consistent perimeter shooting to secure a 69-48 win over the Owensboro High School Friday night.

Ohio County (19-4) came out sharp early, taking a 9-5 lead after the first period. OHS (3-16) kept the pace competitive early, but the Eagles’ ability to stretch the floor quickly became a factor.

By the end of the third period, Ohio County had built a 52-38 advantage. The Eagles knocked down several three-pointers throughout the game, using outside shooting to create separation and control momentum.

OHS continued to battle and added 10 points in the fourth quarter, but Ohio County maintained control down the stretch to close out the 69-48 victory.

With the win, the Eagles continue to strengthen an already impressive season record, while OHS looks to regroup.
