OWENSBORO, KY — Owensboro Catholic’s perfect start continued Thursday night.

The Lady Aces improved to 5-0 with a 4-0 shutout of Ohio County at Independence Field, extending their unbeaten run through the first five games of the season.

Four different players found the net for Catholic. Anabelle Hancock, Allie Marston, Makenna Moss and Chloe Marston each scored, while Meredith Traylor recorded two assists and Marston added another.

For a team that entered the season looking to build momentum, Catholic has done exactly that. Five games in, the Lady Aces remain undefeated and have yet to put a loss on their record.

Catholic will put that perfect mark on the line Tuesday, Sept. 8, when it travels to Daviess County for a 7 p.m. match at Deer Park Elementary Field.

Ohio County, now 5-5, will travel to Madisonville-North Hopkins on Sept. 8.
