MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY — Apollo continued its impressive season Tuesday night, sweeping Muhlenberg County 3-0 at Muhlenberg County High School.

The E-Gals took control from the opening set, winning 25-16 to take an early lead.

Apollo followed with another strong performance in the second set, defeating Muhlenberg County 25-17.

The E-Gals then completed the sweep with a 25-19 victory in the third set.

The win moves Apollo to 15-1 on the season, while Muhlenberg County falls to 17-3.

Avery Gray continues to lead Apollo’s attack this season. Through 15 matches, the junior has recorded 207 kills, averaging 4.93 kills per set, while also contributing 121 digs and 37 service aces.

Madalyn Roberts has directed the Apollo offense with 373 assists, while Jessie Pate leads the team defensively with 169 digs.

Apollo will return home Thursday when the E-Gals host Daviess County at 7:30 p.m. at Apollo High School.
