HENDERSON, KY — Owensboro Catholic came away with a four-set road victory Monday night, defeating Henderson County 3-1 at Henderson County High School Main Gym.

The Aces were led offensively by Emmy Roberts, who finished with 14 kills on 22 attacks for a .636 hitting percentage. Quinn Best added 12 kills, while Marilla Kanipe recorded eight kills on 14 attacks with a .500 hitting percentage.

Sadie Blair contributed three kills, while Anna Mudd, Emmelia Evans and Payton Arnold each added a kill.

Aubrey Crowe led Catholic with 18 assists, followed by Abi Murphy with 12 and Payton Arnold with five. Ryleigh Owen and Arnold also recorded one assist each.

Henderson County was led by Sarah Loffland and Emerson Sword, who each finished with 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Milynn Garrett also had 10 kills, while Kendra Ellis and Kaitlyn Thurby added four apiece.

Loffland finished with 16 digs, while Sword led Henderson County with 22. Ruby Reynolds added 15 digs, and Myla Peck had 10.

Henderson County also finished with nine aces, led by Peck with three. Addison Kirtley, Loffland and Reynolds each had two.

The win moves Owensboro Catholic to 6-9 on the season, while Henderson County falls to 11-8.

Catholic will travel to Daviess County on Thursday, Sept. 24, for a 7 p.m. match at Daviess County High School Gym. Henderson County hosts Webster County Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
