OWENSBORO, KY — Allie Marston delivered a five-goal performance Monday night, leading Owensboro Catholic to a 10-2 victory over Muhlenberg County in the 2026 3rd Region Girls Soccer Tournament semifinals.

Marston scored five goals and added an assist as the Lady Aces put together a 10-goal effort to secure their place in Wednesday’s regional championship. Chloe Marston added two goals and an assist, while Anabelle Hancock, Scarlett Isenbarger and Charlie Reid each scored once.

The victory sets up an all-Owensboro championship matchup, with Owensboro Catholic set to face Owensboro High School on Wednesday night for the 3rd Region title.

Marston Leads the Scoring Surge

Marston was the centerpiece of Catholic’s offensive performance, finishing with six total points from her five goals and one assist. Her scoring output accounted for half of the Lady Aces’ goals in the semifinal.

Chloe Marston also played a key role, contributing two goals and an assist. Hancock finished with a goal and an assist, while Isenbarger recorded a goal and an assist of her own. Reid added another goal, and Johanna Cox and Lila Helwig each contributed an assist.

Catholic finished with 10 goals and six assists, with seven players appearing on the scoring sheet. The production across the lineup helped the Lady Aces build a commanding result and move one win away from a regional championship.

Muhlenberg County Finds the Net Twice

Muhlenberg County managed two goals in the match, with Alana Oates and Brinly Sparks each finding the net. Sparks also recorded an assist.

Felicity Payne recorded four saves in goal for Owensboro Catholic as the Lady Aces worked through the match and secured the eight-goal victory.

Despite allowing two goals, Catholic’s offensive output proved decisive, with 10 goals providing more than enough separation to finish the semifinal and advance.

All-Owensboro Showdown for the Region Title

Owensboro Catholic now turns its attention to Wednesday’s 3rd Region Girls Soccer Championship, where it will meet Owensboro High School at Deer Park Field.

The championship is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 21. With a regional title at stake, the Lady Aces will look to carry their semifinal scoring momentum into the final against their city rival.
