Ballin in the Boro Brings Hoops, Community, and Purpose to Owensboro

Owensboro is gearing up for a weekend of competitive youth basketball with the Puzzle Pieces Ballin’ in the Boro Tournament, presented by Rehabilitation & Performance and hosted by WK Sports & Entertainment, running March 13–15, 2026. Players from 2nd grade through freshman, boys and girls, will hit the courts at Boys and Girls Club, Burns Middle School, College View Middle, and Daviess County Middle in what promises to be a high-energy, action-packed weekend.

With 50+ teams from Kentucky and Indiana, the tournament features top-tier talent and fierce matchups. Big giveaways and surprises add to the excitement, making this event truly unforgettable.

But Ballin in the Boro is more than basketball. Proceeds benefit Puzzle Pieces, a local nonprofit serving 450 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through residential programs, vocational and social services, behavioral support, and autism-specific programming, Puzzle Pieces works to create independent, meaningful lives for its clients. Every shot, pass, and point during the tournament contributes to promoting inclusion and raising awareness during Disability Awareness Month.

Local families and visitors can enjoy Owensboro beyond the courts—exploring the riverfront, playgrounds, live music, and iconic BBQ spots—making it a weekend of hoops and community. Teams can register for $200, joining a weekend that combines athleticism, impact, and fun. This isn’t just basketball—it’s a chance to be part of something bigger.
