OWENSBORO, KY — Owensboro dropped the opening set Monday night but responded by winning three straight to defeat Breckinridge County 3-1 at Owensboro High School.

Breckinridge County opened the match with a 25-21 victory, taking an early 1-0 lead.

Owensboro answered in the second set, winning 25-17 to even the match.

The third set was the tightest of the night. Owensboro edged Breckinridge County 25-23 to move in front 2-1.

The Lady Devils then closed out the match with another 25-17 win in the fourth set.

The victory moves Owensboro to 6-4 on the season, while Breckinridge County falls to 4-2.

Owensboro will return to action Tuesday night when the Lady Devils host Apollo at 7:30 p.m.

Breckinridge County will travel to Ohio County Tuesday for a 7 p.m. match.
