ELIZABETHTOWN, KY — Apollo volleyball added another win to its strong start Thursday night, defeating John Hardin in straight sets on the road.

The E-Gals won 25-17 in the opening set before closing out the match with a 25-12 win in the second.

Avery Gray led Apollo with 10 kills and two blocks. Keelan Wettstain added seven kills and a team-high five aces, while Savannah Denson finished with five kills and a block.

Maddi Roberts helped guide the offense with 23 assists. Jessie Pate led the team with seven digs and added an ace.

The non-district victory moves Apollo to 18-1 on the season, while John Hardin falls to 4-5.

Apollo is scheduled to compete in the Southern Kentucky Slam on Sept. 26 at Allen County-Scottsville High School.
