The Kids Football League got a taste of game-day football this past weekend as players, coaches and families gathered at Apollo High School for the 2026 KFL Jamboree.

Held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 8-9, the Jamboree brought together players from the league’s Flag, Rookie, G-League and Elite divisions for a weekend of preseason action and preparation ahead of the regular season.

With clear skies overhead, the atmosphere around the field was exactly what you would expect from a youth football kickoff. Players took the field, coaches worked with their teams and families filled the bleachers and sidelines to support the young athletes.

The Jamboree wasn’t about keeping official scores. Instead, it gave players an opportunity to get back on the field, experience game-day conditions and prepare for the season ahead.

For the KFL, the weekend also served as a chance to bring the league community together before official games begin Saturday, Aug. 15.

KFL President Eric Carman welcomed OBKY Sports to the Jamboree and shared his appreciation for the coverage of the league.

“We love having OBKY Sports out at KFL Jamboree today,” Carman said. “Thank you for stopping by and showing some love to our players, coaches, families and league. What a great way to kick off the season.”

With the Jamboree complete, KFL teams now turn their attention to the start of the 2026 regular season.
