OWENSBORO, KY — Ohio County put together a strong performance Monday night, scoring three unanswered goals to earn a 3-0 victory over Owensboro Catholic.

The Eagles got on the board with 35:40 showing on the clock when freshman Jadiel Robles found the net.

Junior Jaden Sandria added Ohio County’s second goal at 33:21, with junior JJ Pacheco providing the assist. The two goals gave the Eagles a 2-0 advantage heading into halftime.

Ohio County extended its lead early in the second half when Sandria scored again at the 6:35 mark. Junior Caleb Coppage recorded the assist on the goal, giving Sandria two goals on the night.

Ohio County’s defense protected the three-goal advantage through the remainder of the match. Kayden Sandria finished with eight saves to record the shutout.

Owensboro Catholic also received solid work in goal throughout the night. Jace Obermeier made four saves in the first half, while Max Dawson added three saves after halftime.

The result moves Ohio County to 7-6-2 on the season, while Owensboro Catholic is now 5-6.
