Owensboro, KY – March 14, 2026

Trinity delivered a dominant performance against Owensboro Catholic Varsity Aces on Saturday, powered by an 11-run fourth inning that broke the game open.

The Panthers struck first in the bottom of the opening frame. #23’s triple drove in two runs, followed by #22’s groundout that extended the lead to 3-0. Trinity added two more in the third inning, taking a 5-0 advantage into the fourth.

The fourth inning was decisive. Trinity scored 11 runs on six hits, including a triple from #9, doubles from #7, #22, and #4, and singles from #5 and #20. A hit-by-pitch and an error added another two runs, putting Trinity ahead 16-0.

On the mound, Owensboro Catholic starter Atwell pitched two innings, surrendering three runs on three hits with one strikeout. Trinity starter #4 allowed no runs and one strikeout in the first inning. The Panthers’ pitching staff finished the game with a shutout.

Trinity collected 14 hits, with #22 driving in four runs. Owensboro Catholic recorded four hits from Howard, Hundley, Moser, and Clements but could not generate any offense. The Panthers also turned one double play while keeping their defense clean.

Owensboro Catholic will face Meade County in their next outing Wednesday, looking to rebound from the loss.
