OWENSBORO, KY — Owensboro is preparing for one of its largest multi-sport events to date as Visit Owensboro unveils the inaugural Bluegrass Clash Sports Summit, a two-weekend sports festival scheduled for July 10–12 and July 17–19, 2026.

The event will bring together more than a dozen athletic competitions across the Owensboro-Daviess County area, turning parks, facilities, and venues across the region into a coordinated hub for youth, amateur, and professional-level competition.

From baseball diamonds to disc golf courses, trail systems to basketball courts, the Sports Summit represents a growing push to position Owensboro as a regional sports tourism destination—bringing athletes, families, and visitors into the community across two full weekends of activity.

A Wide-Scale Multi-Sport Rollout Across the Region

The Bluegrass Clash Sports Summit will feature a diverse lineup of events spanning multiple sports disciplines and venues, including:

• Owensboro Open Tennis Tournament (Merchant Centre Courts & William H. “Bill” Thompson Courts)
• Bourbon and Bowling (Diamond Lanes South)
• Bluegrass Clash Disc Golf Tournament (Panther Creek Park & Yellow Creek Park)
• Rudy Rumble Trail Run (Rudy Mines)
• Battle on the Bluegrass Taekwondo Competition
• Bluegrass Mountain Cup Trail Race (Rudy Mines)
• The Forge Challenge (Owensboro Sportscenter)
• Dust Bowl Basketball Tournament (Kendall Perkins Park)
• ACO Cornhole World Championships (Owensboro Convention Center)
• USSSA Adult Slowpitch Softball Tournament (Jack C. Fisher Park)

Events will be spread across both weekends, creating continuous activity throughout the city and surrounding county.

A Coordinated Push in Sports Tourism

Visit Owensboro is partnering with the City of Owensboro, Daviess County, local parks departments, and multiple sports organizations to coordinate the event across venues.

Organizers say the goal is to showcase Owensboro’s growing reputation as a sports destination while maximizing community involvement and visitor engagement across multiple sports categories.

In addition to the athletic events, Friday After 5 and The Eric Group are expected to release a separate lineup of live music and entertainment programming for the two weekends, adding a festival-style atmosphere to the overall experience.

Community members, athletes, and visiting teams will also have access to riverfront entertainment, food vendors, and additional activities coordinated across partner organizations.
